Agreement to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and WaitForDate governing your access to and use of the WaitForDate website, quiz, matching features and messaging tools (together, the "Service"). Is online dating safe on WaitForDate? We built these Terms, alongside verification checks and conduct rules, specifically to keep the community real, adult, and accountable - but no platform can guarantee outcomes, and your own judgment and caution remain essential when meeting people online or in person.
By creating an account, completing the sign-up quiz, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
Eligibility and the 18+ Age Requirement
WaitForDate is strictly limited to adults aged 18 and older. Registering, browsing profiles, matching, or messaging on WaitForDate requires that you meet, and continue to meet, every eligibility condition below for as long as you hold an account.
- You must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration.
- You must be legally permitted to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- You must not be barred from using dating or social platforms under any applicable law.
- You must not have been previously banned from WaitForDate for violating these Terms.
- You must provide accurate information about your identity, age, and gender during sign-up.
18+ Only, No Exceptions
WaitForDate is exclusively for adults 18 years of age and older. We reserve the right to request age verification at any time and to immediately suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to a minor. Creating an account under false age information is a material breach of these Terms.
Account Registration, Accuracy and Verification
Account registration on WaitForDate requires accurate, current information and may include identity and photo verification steps designed to reduce fake and duplicate profiles. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
What we ask of you
- Provide truthful information about your age, gender, and general location.
- Use your own genuine photographs - not stock images, another person's photos, or AI-generated likenesses of someone else.
- Keep your contact and account details up to date.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Complete any verification step we request in good faith, such as confirming a photo matches your profile.
We may deny registration, suspend a pending account, or request additional verification at our discretion, particularly where information appears inconsistent, automated, or duplicated across multiple profiles.
User Conduct and Prohibited Behavior
Good conduct is what keeps a dating platform usable - the moment bots, harassment, or scams creep in, trust collapses for everyone. You agree not to engage in any of the following while using WaitForDate:
- Automated access. Using bots, scripts, scrapers, or any automated tool to create accounts, message members, harvest data, or interact with the Service.
- Impersonation and catfishing. Creating a profile using another person's identity or photos, misrepresenting your age, marital status, or intentions, or otherwise deceiving another member about who you are.
- Harassment and abuse. Sending threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit unsolicited content, or continuing contact after a member has asked you to stop.
- Scams and solicitation. Requesting money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial information from another member, or using the Service to advertise products, services, or third-party platforms.
- Illegal or harmful content. Posting content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or that depicts minors in any context.
- Circumvention. Attempting to bypass verification, moderation, blocking, or reporting systems, or creating a new account after suspension without our authorization.
- Commercial misuse. Using member data obtained through the Service for marketing, recruitment, or any purpose unrelated to genuine dating.
Violations may result in warning, feature restriction, suspension, or permanent termination, at our discretion and proportionate to the conduct involved, as described further in the Suspension and Termination section below.
Report Suspicious or Fake Profiles
If you encounter a profile that seems automated, requests money, or otherwise appears to violate these Terms, use the in-app report option or contact [email protected]. Reports help us act quickly to remove bad actors and keep matching genuine.
Content Ownership and License
You retain ownership of the photos, profile text, and messages you submit to WaitForDate ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant WaitForDate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service - for example, showing your profile photo to a potential match or displaying your bio in search results.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you post and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our content standards without prior notice.
Free Access, Optional Features and Third-Party Offers
Core features of WaitForDate - including registration, the matching quiz, and browsing - are free to access. We may offer optional paid features or enhanced visibility tools in the future; any such feature will clearly disclose its cost and terms before you are charged, and no purchase is required to use the core Service.
WaitForDate may link to, or be reached through, third-party marketing pages, partner offers, or affiliate placements. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of third-party sites, and your interactions with them are governed by their own policies.
No Guarantee of Matches or Outcomes
WaitForDate provides tools to help you discover and connect with nearby singles; it does not guarantee that you will receive a match, a response, a date, or any particular relationship outcome. Matching results depend on factors outside our control, including the preferences, availability, and conduct of other members.
Disclaimers of Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that every profile is free of misrepresentation despite our verification efforts.
You acknowledge that meeting people online, and in person, carries inherent risk. WaitForDate strongly recommends meeting new connections in public places, telling a friend your plans, and trusting your own judgment before sharing personal information or meeting offline.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WaitForDate and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, or from the conduct of any user, whether online or during an in-person meeting arranged through the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount, if any, you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WaitForDate from any claim, liability, damage, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of another person.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms, including prohibited conduct listed above.
- Providing false age or identity information.
- Extended account inactivity.
- Conduct that creates risk or harm to other members or to the Service.
- Your own request to close your account, which you may submit at any time.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination - including content license, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification - will continue to apply.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.

Severability
